Field Trials Interim - Poll 2

Thank you very much to everyone who voted - now is the opportunity to put your money where your mouth is:

We'll start with a timeframe of 1 week and see if we can't build any momentum from that - I'm hoping it's enough time, but it may be open a little longer than that.  Initial Deadline: Midnight EST Wednesday 26 Aug.

Based on your votes:

You're donating to support images portraying the transformation of chief of security Rhonda McCampbell from this:

To something potentially closer to this (although we're finalizing details right now...I think we'll have a few new surprises this time).

I have already paid for the first and last image in this sequence.  The interim images are up to your generosity.  $60 for every stage - and I will pay the balance for a partial stage.

Currently: 2 Images.

All donations will be counted towards the total (I'll eat the paypal fees), but for easy addition, each donation should be at least $1.  I'll post updates every couple of days (as my schedule allows) - on a little sidebar section - so stay tuned.

Donations can be made via my paypal account - the same as my donation art project.  Just leave a note letting me know it's for Solios!  Of course, if you'd like to donate for another art project at the same time - that's too easy - just drop me a line via email afterwards!

Field Trials Interim - Poll

So, we've reached the point where we handle the next poll - and it's up to you to decide which way we go with this.

Obviously we have the possibility of exposing Chief of Security Rhonda McCampbell to JY89BR or HE36YU (right and center characters respectively).

However, looking at TransRepo Industries recent lines of testing, we have a few other options available:

Exposure to substance from Parallel D4E - no idea what specific effect it'll have on her but we have some previous indications.

Cosmetics Testing - it turns out that just as the Beauty Department is looking for a cheap, rapid means of producing high-grade ambergris, Custom Biologicals may have a solution (of sorts).

Agricultural Operations Support - multiple options available, leave a comment.

Agricultural Production Support - again multiple....if similar options :)

So please feel free to vote, leave feedback, etc.  If you can't see the poll, enable permissions for the site.

And please be ready to put your money where your mouth is on this project - the more donations, the more arts in the sequence!

Field Trials - Initial Viewer Results

Well, the first results are in from this little project:

Now, truth be told...this is turning out to be a bit of a blind spot given the format - we need to come up with a starting look for....let's call her Chief of Security (local) McCampbell.

Frankly....I'm of the opinion that for her at this point - almost "anything" would be an improvement.  I'm thinking thin, average height, somewhat scrawny, stringy, greasy hair - late 30s.  (We'll go into more background in the next installment) - obviously wearing her uniform.

But does anyone have any more specific suggestions?  Stock pics wouldn't hurt.

Solios - Field Trials 2

13JUL15 2200 GMT (H+2)

{AI recognizes voiceprint of Chairwoman Francesco - automatic recording systems activated}
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, I'm back. What are we tracking now in response to this event?"

"Full audio/visual surveillance in place throughout the dwelling and surrounding neighborhood (such as it is) - they won't be able to make a move without us knowing it."

"Good to hear - wait a sec - where's the third individual?  The perp - he's the one we should be watching most closely."

"Nothing to worry about Chairwoman - he left a little while ago to procure additional sustenance - the advance security team has been tracking his every move and reporting in.  The full recovery team should be in place no later than midnight local."

"That's a relief - and speak of the devil!  Wow!  Looks like TP06MN is more than just theoretical at this point.  Are we able to get readings from any of the surveillance monitors at this time?"

"With the facility limitations - not much more than heartbeat monitors, body temps and the other basics - overall, we are reading increased stats across the board - nothing life threatening, but certainly indicative of significant 'development' per the research paperwork transmitted by the Assistant Director."

"One more thing Chairwoman - Director Heinrich and his head of security - are both on board a jet and en route.  They should be here in the next few hours - awaiting ETA confirmation due to weather conditions."

"Sounds good.  Keep me posted - and keep pulling every piece of data you can out of that shithole - we can't use these readings for anything official, but every piece of information will help target the future trials."
{voiceprint ends, pause recording}

Next Poll Discussion (please read before voting)

Before you vote in the next poll - should be posted shortly - I'd like you to just review this note.

Things are taking longer than I'd expected on several projects - although others are rolling along pretty smoothly all things considered.  That said....I'd like to bounce some ideas off you - specifically what you regard as fair pricing for a donation project offered through my site.

I have trouble sometimes thinking of a fair price for my material compared to what I see elsewhere.  On the one hand, sometimes it's a very large number of pages/images that I've paid a significant amount of money for up front - and a significant amount of time has been spent on each piece by the respective artists.  On the other hand, they're not my original artworks, just my concepts.

Keeping in mind that 30% of each donation price (before fees) goes directly back to the artist (or a similar percentage with the forthcoming anthology piece(s)) - and that I suck up the paypal fees in every case - please choose the options(s) - multiple options will be available - that best reflect what you'd be willing to pay for a donation art project - try using the visualization of your favorite fetish (ie. TF, TG, AB, WG, etc) and favorite artist for the max amount ;p

It's not really a big deal honestly...I've got a lot of pending projects and a ton of new ideas - I've never made much back on these (with a couple notable exceptions - most of these barely pay for themselves if that) - but they do help fill in the gaps on different pieces from time to time.

Thanks.

Edit - by "unique images" in the poll, I mean sequential images in a non-page format - such as "Champagne Wishes" by cluedog - NOT a gallery of unrelated images.

Discussion - Art and Caption Contests

Thanks for the votes and feedback on the most recent poll.

(Pic didn't turn out too well, but whatever).

I was pretty certain that "Farmgirls" would be a favorite - it's a consistent theme that a lot of artists have already worked with.  Might be fun to mix it in with something else....seasonal options maybe?  Of course...the difference is between showing the transformation sequence and something else...I'll work on something - next one will probably start the beginning of next year.

On the other hand it's also nice to see some of the other concepts pick up a lot of votes.  We'll see how things go.  Kinda weird to see "Other" get 3 votes but no comments explaining them ;p

Don't forget - a little over 2 weeks left for the current caption contest.

New Art Contest Poll

In addition to the new Caption Challenge post, I have just stuck up a new poll regarding future art contests.  I enjoy the concept a lot, but with a few exceptions, I've been disappointed by the overall number of contestants or entries, even with what I consider to be fairly large cash prizes (and a generally good chance at winning all things considered).

Not sure if I'm not getting the visibility I'm aiming for even with posting and updating on multiple sites, or if it's a matter of my choice of subject matter in each case.

Feedback is appreciated - via comments on this post.  The main target of course are the actual artists who would or would not be interested in participating or who have participated in the past.

Thanks.

Mr-DNA - Be Stole My Heart - The Conclusion

A tie?  Are you serious?  How does a poll like this wind up tied?  I don't even know what to say....I'm speechless.

I guess it saves me a post though - we'll just show both of them in this same post - hope you're happy....you could have had me draw this out another few days ;p

Mr-DNA - Choose Her Fate!

Well, Mr-DNA and I were brainstorming between a couple little concepts for his ongoing series - and we came up with a nice little alternate piece.  Soooo, again, not my original characters, but like his entry for the Fashion Pageant and subsequent epilogue - it fits very well.

Please vote for your choice in the poll on the left side of the screen.  And while you're at it - check out The Underburbs.  Issue #15 should be out this summer as well as the next (3rd?) TPB - really a great comic!

The People Have Spoken - 7

Results are in for Contest #7.  Thanks again for all the beautiful entries.  There will be at least one more art contest this year - and a few more contests of other shapes and sizes!  Stay tuned.

Congratulations to zdemian for the winning "Pronouns":

Discussion - Sequences, Art Contests, etc

First, just a quick note about "South Pacific Follies" - didn't want to clutter up the initial post.  Basically, Cluedog and I are both big fans of a lot of classic cartoonists.  In our last collaboration, I intended it largely as a tribute in part to Al Capp (although I haven't read as many of his comics yet, I love his creations).

SPF on the other hand is a similarly-minded tribute to the amazing comics of Milton Caniff - and while I'm still getting into the early years of Terry and the Pirates and Steve Canyon, this series is really in tribute to the stunning wartime, military-exclusive strip Male Call.  We hope you enjoy this little tribute...;p  The intent is to update one frame or so at a time, generally 3x a week as schedules permit.

Next, just another reminder that we are rapidly running down the clock on Art Contest #7 and I haven't seen any entries yet.  Not the end of the world if I don't receive any entries - I've got a lot of other ideas on the burners, but I thought this one would be pretty fun.  Any gift art in celebration of the Transformation Repository's 4th Anniversary would be much appreciated as well.

Lastly, I do appreciate the votes in my last poll - clearly a majority of folks (who voted) prefer that I keep the format the same.  Again, not much feedback....I'll probably look at keeping the zip/email format but I'm definitely going to *try* switching to a .pdf format for the longer projects...at least to give it a shot.  And I might eventually look at e-publishing as well - just for the heck of it if nothing else.  Interested in seeing how well some of these translate to hard copy vice just digital.

Discussion - Art Contest, More Feedback, etc.

Just a reminder folks - just about a month left in the 7th Art Contest for The Transformation Repository.  Haven't heard from a lot of folks yet, but looking forward to some solid projects after the great showing last year.

Regarding my ongoing poll - see left side of page - there are about 4 days left in the poll.  It's great that you folks think I should keep the current format...it's certainly the easiest thing - even if I switch to .pdf format, I can still use password-protected zip files...for the most part.   But I'd really like some feedback comments if you guys have any other ideas or suggestions regarding security....given the amount of effort put into these projects by the artists involved.

Thanks.

Discussion - Looking for Suggestions, etc.

I've been giving it some more thought recently - and I think that I will need to handle the next several Donation Project pieces a little differently than the previous ones.

Basically - as I've mentioned before, the next several in the pipeline are *very* big...we're talking about a couple pieces each over 40 full-color comic pages.  Now...I don't want to price myself out of the market...I'm thinking $10 is a very fair price - considering the amazing amount of work it took to put these together and the amount of time involved - not to mention that as part of the donation project - more than 30% of each project is going back to the artist(s) involved.

However, as a result, I'm more than a little concerned about the possibility of something this big getting randomly "shared" elsewhere.  I'm almost certainly going to work with a .pdf format this time for readability - as well as security.  That said, I'm posting a poll - I'm researching options for publishing on demand as well.  Would you ever be interested in a hard copy version of one of these projects (or one already posted) - or just an e-version?  Looking for some honest feedback here - as detailed as possible - particularly for folks who've gone that way with their own projects.

FWIW - I also know that my projects tend to not be as "dirty" as a lot of other pieces - even with the amount of transformations I try to fit in.  I know that's to my tastes, but not necessarily to everyone elses...not that it'll necessarily change...I like to be able to offer something that's not complete porn.

I'm familiar with (and researching) lulu.com, IndyPlanet, and Ka-Blam - but if anyone has any other suggestions or previous experiences, I'd sure like to hear them.  I'm pretty sure I'll still be working with direct paypal support the way I have before, but this might serve as a nice alternative.

---------------------

Completely separate...I finally got around to starting my next associated blog - TransRepo Odds 'N Ends - for movie, etc reviewing.  Please feel free to check it out - I take requests, etc.  I've got a feeling it will probably get updated more frequently than this site.

Thanks.

The La De Baucherie Magique Fashion Pageant Update - Intermission - Now with poll!

Well folks, we now come to the end of the first portion of this pageant.  I suppose you could say we're about half-way through, even though we haven't even begun to see the real fashions here.

A "break" was needed so that Mistress Arianna and Candy (and company) could help the contestants start "changing" into their outfits.  There was also a slight delay in the arrival of our guest commentators - something about a "wardrobe malfunction".

So....in this brief interlude for the holidays - I've posted a poll for the viewers choice award for best transformation.  All the prizes for this overall project will be decided by viewers voting, rather than any decision by me.

Any viewer can vote for more than one project - but I would request that each person not vote more than once - please don't try and game the system.  But by all means, please pass the link to your friends and other TF fans and ask them to vote.  I know with 22 entries...it can be pretty hard to decide on a favorite, but hopefully we won't wind up with any ties here.  That said, since this poll is running for about a week, that still gives us a few days at the end if we need a run-off vote to clear things up before the end of the year.

Just to be clear, the winners you decide on will receive a cash prize from me via paypal - $150 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd place.

Also, as a heads up for viewers, my schedule in January is somewhat in flux after MLK Jr. Day.  That is to say...not certain about internet access for the end of the month (just that small period) so the fashion portions will be a little more compressed than I had originally anticipated.

For the moment, this is the intended posting schedule:

30 Dec: Category 1 - Traditional Wear or Period Costumes (viewer voting from 30 Dec - 5 Jan).

2 Jan: Category 2 - Swimwear (viewer voting from 2 Jan - 8 Jan)

6 Jan: Category 3 - Fur and/or Tight and Shiny Outfits (viewer voting from 6 Jan - 12 Jan)

9 Jan: Category 4 - Lingerie (viewer voting from 9 Jan - 15 Jan)

13 Jan: Category 5 - Evening Gown (viewer voting from 13 Jan - 19 Jan)

For each of these categories, there will be $100 in prizes for the viewers choice for best outfits - $50 for 1st place, $30 for 2nd place, and $20 for 3rd place.

Once again, thanks for viewing and voting - and please pass the word - this is the biggest project I've ever coordinated for the site and I'd like to get the artists the exposure they deserve for their excellent work.  Any questions/comments/feedback - always appreciated via email or comments!

For the record, all of these entries were fully commissioned and paid for up front by me - no gift art pieces here - see also prize money for viewer voting.  Your donations definitely help with getting quality art like this out to the community though.  Support is always appreciated.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all!  And may the best transformation win!
