Powerman2000 illustrates "Obsessed With Her Natural Beauty"

Wow....I am truly sorry for taking so long to get this art posted.  Particularly, I owe Powerman2000 an apology since I told him several weeks ago I would get these pics online - just need to focus more.

This addition to Illustrated Stories is another fun story from mcstories.com.  Highly recommend checking out the other stories there - generally updated weekly.  Changeme is one of my favorites from the site thematically and tf-related.

As usual, all of the individual illustrations are visible in larger format down below.

Oppaiman illustrates "Bunny and the Bachelorette Party"

Finally another update!  I've got a couple more of these in the pipeline, but I'm very excited to present another illustrated story.  Moose 2016 has not been around too long, but he's already put out some pretty interesting stories - particularly good ones with process - and I was very excited to be able to get Oppaiman to illustrate one of his stories.

As usual, all of the individual illustrations are visible in larger format down below.

Mertail - Containment Breach 5

Story and Images by Mertail

Part 5: Conclusion

Katie Oswald worked as one of the many junior accountants at TransRepo Industries.  Normally, that meant she and her team stayed pretty much in the sixth and seventh floors of the main building.  Today, something was different.  She was touring part of the newly developed Nanite Containment Facility.  There were some minor irregularities in the cost reporting and they needed to be rectified before the monthly reports could be completed.  Her, along with two other junior accountants, and her immediate supervisor were in a group of temporary cubicles just outside the Biological Level 2 Containment Zone.

She caught as strange flicker in the air but it had vanished when she turned her head towards it.      After looking around a while, she decided it had to be some kind of hallucination or something.  She returned to the pile of invoice slips that had become her duty to reconcile.  She really wished these scientists would take better care when doing the accounts.  Didnt they know how important it was?

After a few hours, she noticed an itch at her waist and absentmindedly brushed the dark hairs away.  Sheenas hair, she noted mentally.  How could that dog lose so much hair chasing frisbees and not end up bald?  When the hair didnt brush away, she tugged at it.  It was solidly attached.  This was strange.  She walked over to the womens washroom for a closer look at the hair.

Mertail - Containment Breach 4

Story and Images by Mertail

Part 4:  Reactions

Betty Kowalski was working in the computer server area.  She was helping on of the technicians thread a new fiberoptic bundle through the already crowded collection of cables that already filled the cable bay.

There should be an easier way, she muttered.

Not without breaking the containment seal on the other side of the wall, the technician responded.

Are we that close to …”

Level 2 is on the other side.  Were just running an line to the virus lab.  Good thing.  Theyd kill us all if we had to shut down level 2 like we did last time.  Seems even a few days is more than they want to give up.

Were not in any danger?

No.  The virus sides been virtually shutdown for months.  Nothing hazardous in there any more.

Oh.  Was there?  Before?

Dont know.  All I know is we had to work in the damned hazmat suits ten months ago when we recalled the building.

A jet of silvery mist caught Betty in the face.  Unconsciously she inhaled, lost consciousness and fell from the ladder she was standing on.  Her partner, hearing the crash, quickly came to her aid.  She was barely breathing but a quick first aid assessment showed no apparent broken bones.

Mertail - Containment Breach 3

Story and Images by Mertail

Part 3:  Visitors

Imogene Bellamy wasnt even a member of the staff when this had all started.  Shed been visiting her Mom at lunch.  Shed been working with a company a short distance up the road as part of a work partnership program associated with the local technical colleges Work Placement program.  Shed not seen but smelled a strange metallic scent as a fine silvery mist poured from an overhead ventilation duct.  Neither she nor her mother thought anything of it until her mother got home that evening.

Mom, Imogene began with a slight whine in her voice.  I feel terrible.

Mertail - Containment Breach 2

Story and Images by Mertail
Part 2:  "Human" Resources

Tammy Rothschild had graduated from the local technical college only five weeks prior.  Shed done very well in the office management course shed taken and was pleased to be able to give her notice at the dead end job shed worked in since high school.  TransRepo paid ever so much more and, in a few years time, shed be able to work her way up and make even more!!

Her first few days on the front desk were pretty normal.  Aside from having to get another of the office managers to cover for her whenever HR decided she needed to fill in yet another form, it was pretty simple.  The fourth day, she and the other new hires were put through the Corporate Introduction Session.  It covered all kinds of things that her diploma hadnt covered such as evacuation drills and shelter-in-place drills and where the emergency biosafe areas were.  The trainers made much of the fact that, though such events should never occur, the release of one of the biologically active agents from the secure labs might happen.  They needed to know what to do.  Even if no one ever expected to actually have to do it.

Mertail - Containment Breach 1

Well now, I've got to get more content posted while we're waiting on the next set of voting results.

This week I am very happy to present my first full commissioned story (with illustrations) by Mertail.

So, without further ado (tune in all week for updates) - after all....what's a normal day at TransRepo Industries without a little mishap?

Containment Breach

Part 1:  Release in the Lab

It started as a normal day in the Biogenetics Lab of TransRepo Industries.  The current project, under way now for nearly two years, was a simple one to describe but fiendishly difficult to implement.  An unexplained, as yet, rise in the number of people needing service dogs with increased capability was fostering feverish research into genetic methods to increase canine intelligence.  The original work had been with virus carriers for the new genetic material.  This created some interesting small steps in the first few months.  The unfortunate problem was that you had to wait for the puppies to be born and mature a bit before you could see the actual effects of your genetic tinkering.  That all changed with the creation of the first DNA compatible nanites.  These microscopic machines, working in tandem, could completely restructure the adult animal based upon the changed DNA that the viruses had introduced into the animals cell nucleus.  Instead of waiting for the next generation, you could get good indications immediately (or at least a few days).  Of course, the puppies would be a step beyond that having actually grown up with the modifications and would have the advantage of learning to use the enhancements completely.  Regardless, it did speed research considerably and ensured that the puppies would be good candidates for further enhancement even if they didnt meet the final requirements.  The results had been so spectacular that some of their canines had doubled their intelligence in only three generations.

Danielsangeo illustrates: "SRU: Tuning Bimbos"

Unfortunately again - like my most recent Illustrated Stories posting, Danielsangeo got me the pictures a while back and it's taken me a little longer than planned to get everything formatted and uploaded properly.  My apologies.

However, I'm finally able to post an illustrated version of one of my favorite SRU stories - one I've read numerous times over the years since I first came across it - probably soon after it was first posted in '99.  I'm very happy to present:

For the moment, there is one more illustrated story in the works - but I'm not sure how soon it'll be ready.  As a separate reminder - the previously noted contest is still ongoing!

The individual illustrations are posted below as well:

Illustrated Stories Project Reopened

Just wanted to follow up on something bouncing around in my head for a little while.

I would like to reopen this project - Illustrated Stories.  See also the original link.

I just would love to see some of those projects with at least a few relevant pictures - if you're interested at all, please let me know.

Edit - upon consideration...rather than limiting myself to the "flat $100" I mentioned in the previous linked post - I think I can be a little more flexible with the pricing.  Probably easier to send me an email or DA note and we can discuss options.

Thanks.

Edit - just updated all story file links with dropbox links to replace old rapidshare links.  If you find any other dead links on my site, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Thanks.

Powerman2000 illustrates "Bimbo Eyes"

Apologies to Powerman2000 - he got the pictures to me quite a while back and I just haven't had the time till now to complete the editing and posting process.

I've enjoyed reading and rereading this story by Downing Street quite a lot over the last few years.  Honestly, there are probably other sites out there, but with my schedule - and the convenient classifying process they use on this site, most of my recent favorite stories have been coming from The Mind Control Story Archive.

If anyone has serious issues with opening .docx files - older versions of MS Word should be able to down-convert....and I assume Open Office can view as well.  Otherwise, there's always the default link and the following gorgeous images.

On a side note - this will probably be the last illustrated story for a while - I'm in the process of deciding how I want to continue these in the future - but I'm pretty sure there will be more.  Plenty more stories that could use a little visual treatment ;p

Temp-Tress illustrates "Venus Club"

Well, it took a while, but I finally have my next illustrated story to present.

This one is an old favorite from the BEArchive beautifully illustrated by Temp-Tress.

Illustrating the "Classics"

Fast responders may have noticed a new page on the bar at the top of the site - "Illustrated Stories".

Basically, this is a concept I've been thinking about off and on over the past year - commissioning some of the best artists out there to illustrate some of my favorite stories from around the interwebs...and I've finally got it ready.

Oppaiman's rendition of "An American in Hell" serves as a pretty good example of what my intentions are.  Simply put, I'm looking at a flat commission of $100 (possibly to increase) in return for 3 to 5 pictures illustrating any of the stories on the list - even ones that have already been illustrated by another artist (although I'd prefer to see all the other stories get hit at least once prior to something like that) - and eventually getting to a point where these stories - and any others that I add to the list, wind up being virtually fully illustrated.

The illustrations can either be set throughout the story (as demonstrated by Oppaiman) or focus on a single transformation (granted in some cases the entire story consists of a single transformation sequence).

Unfortunately I can't shell out large amounts of money at random for this - even if you're willing, I may not have the resources directly at hand depending on the timeframe (I'll probably add a little availability notification window to the widgets on the page).

For prospective artists, I would like to see a link to your work (unless I've already worked with you) and a simple write up of the story you plan on illustrating and which shots you intend to portray.

As in the case of my art contests (I will be announcing another one very soon!) - my contact email is thrandrall(at)gmail.com.

Thanks for the interest!

Oppaiman illustrates "An American in Hell"

For those of you who see this update first and immediately follow it, there will be an additional explanatory post following.

That said, I am happy to present an old favorite of mine (came across it years ago):

An American in Hell by Hugh G. Breastman

It seems as though it will require a significant amount of time to actually format a story to look reasonable on the blogger template.  Copying and pasting from word or even the website doesn't seem to retain any formatting.

That said, however, why deprive you of Oppaiman's excellent art?  Here are his first illustrations for the story.

Note: I do not take any credit for the story - just the presentation here.
