Cluedog - Light Reading

Well, it's taken a little longer than I had initially planned - but as is generally the case with these sorts of things, the wait is more than worth the results.

A few months ago, you nice folks voted on a little project - and at the time I noted that there was already something in the works fitting the results - and here it is.  The "official" first new commission for the year - distinctly TG in nature.

Cluedog and I have been collaborating on a number of new projects - and sharing an interest in different artists and styles - particularly classic/retro pin-ups and older comic art.  For this piece, I was largely inspired by Al Capp's Li'l Abner although sadly I haven't had as many opportunities to catch up on the original comics as I'd like (a situation I plan on rectifying in the short term).  For a future project, we have a Milton Caniff-inspired piece. ;p

I think you'll notice a different format in the sequence this time as well - but I like the way it turned out - always like trying something different!

I'm very happy to present "Light Reading."

immortaltom - Short Takes

Always enjoy seeing new art by the talented and incredibly prolific (nearly 1800 deviations) immortaltom.  Good news for all of us now - he's begun taking commissions at a very affordable rate.

Highly recommended.  I managed to snag a few slots last week.

Axel-Rosered - Weight Re-distribution

It's not necessarily how much you weigh (Lord knows I could stand to lose a few pounds), but more how you carry it ;p

A short little sequence by Axel-Rosered - taking advantage of a recent buy 2 get 1 free commission promotion.  Definitely a great artist for WG and heftier ladies.

leandro-sf - Teleporter Mishap Redux (finale!)

And here we come to the end of our beautiful piece by leandro-sf.  This entire project worked out really well.  I wound up having to delay posting it though because I decided to get it colored after receiving the original version.

All four original inked images are below the 4th page of the colored sequence.  Amazing details.

leandro-sf - Teleporter Mishap Redux (2)

Really...what did they think was going to happen?  Rules are there for a reason.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye (or grows a tail).

Part 1.

leandro-sf - Teleporter Mishap Redux (1)

Wow...this one really takes me back.

I've previously mentioned my intention to re-vamp/re-visit previous projects (although I can't remember which post specifically referenced it).  Sometimes the ideas just fit, and other times, you just hit on an artist with the exact look you need.

leandro-sf doesn't have a huge amount of TF material in his gallery, but what is there is excellent quality - and I can't argue with the amount of detail he manages to cram into the frames...

Definitely hope to work with him again in the future.

So...for the moment, you can consider this a "directors cut" or "remaster" of the original.

Synthean - 2013: Year of the Snake (the finale!)

Well, I honestly can say I wasn't expecting to see this.  Synthean and I had some discussions regarding this project and which way we wanted it to go - but I wasn't expecting a final pic at all - and I'm very grateful for the amazing work Synthean has put into it.

Definitely a unique look, but one that fits very well all the same.

Part 1.

Mcfreelydude - Swollen

While we're waiting for the big stuff to roll in again...another quickie from Mcfreelydude - short and sweet.

You gotta take this guy up on his forum offers - like Darkoshen and others - a great start for intro commissions and getting a new artist going.
