We didn't quite finish this project in time for the holidays, but given the weather in some parts of the US this past week, I think it's still plenty relevant :)

I guess Mr. Ethridge did figure out a way to cut down on the shoe purchases.  Of course, if Mrs. Ethridge is as resourceful as she appears...she's probably already slipped the farrier a few extra quid for some designer hipposandals.

A thought occurs...I may have used this title before for a previous project.  No matter.

This is another visual concept I've had percolating for years - and it turns out Synthean was just the artist to bring it to fruition.

More importantly, this is the first time I've imposed on Synthean to add some of his own text.  I've loved reading his small quatrains and verses in previous pics (none of my commissions) - and given the period setting, it seemed like the perfect concept - and Synthean was gracious enough to indulge me.
